Have you ever heard someone say that coatings and ppf (clear bra) do not work or your customer comes back and says, "The water does not bead up anymore and is harder to clean " ,or " My coating is getting all scratched up,". Then you ask them that question that they were told or maybe they did not get explained to them properly, "Do you use a brush or brushless car wash, and the answer is usually the brush wash. Do you have them put wax on it? Putting a less superior product on top of a superior product lessens the performance of the good product. Now you have to explain to them why they can not do that.
Coatings will tell you in the warranty, that your warranty will be void if it is determine to have been through a car wash. There are a couple of car dealerships that say you can use the car wash, but are they educated on the proper way to maintain a coating. If you only knew what they are using, you may not purchase a coating from them. Some dealerships use detailing businesses to do the work but do not explain the proper way of the product they are using.
My other blogs go into depth about car washes, but to tell you the truth, detailers love it because we get to fix what they mess up. Customers need to ask more questions and read about what it takes to keep a car looking like new. Also, use common sense to determine what will be better for you, there are a lot of options.
